The Pets Hotel has been operating for one year, it has been a year full of fun, laughs and happy pets.  Throughout the year we have treated our four legged guests to special themed events; howloween was a big hit.  We also initiated “date nights’ for people who are thinking of adopting a pet to play with rescued cats and dogs. These nights were held with the wonderful rescue organisation “Forever Friends”.  The Pets Hotel team, love seeing people matched with their forever friends and so we will be holding more of these nights. Our goal is to help rehome as many rescued pets into loving homes as we can.

The Pets Hotel team would like to wish all our fantastic clients and their pets a happy 2012. We look forward to seeing you all again soon; thank you for making our first year so enjoyable and for making The Pets Hotel the most sort after pet facility in Victoria. Please keep yourselves, family and pets safe during 2012.  The management of The Pets Hotel would also like to thank our magnificent staff that have taken such good care of our guests this year.

Introducing your Puppy to Grooming

1. Play with your puppies feet by touching their toes and nails.
2. If your puppy needs regular face trimming get them used to having their chin held. Also put your fingers in front of their eyes, Pet Stylists hold the chin hair to control some of the head movement when you trim in front of the eyes. Introducing these movements to your puppy with positive reinforcement helps the grooming experience.
3. Start brushing your puppy at an early age. Make it fun and rewarding but don’t give in easy if they are being stubborn.
4. At an early age use a tearless oatmeal shampoo. Bath time is fun – soap in the eyes is not!
5. Make grooming fun! Get your puppy excited to visit the grooming salon!

Doggy Day care Christmas Breakup

On Wednesday 21st December we had our break up for the Doggy Day care. We had a great turn out with most of our regular dogs coming in. Keith our tree hugger came dressed up in tinsel and started the trend!! A great time was had by all and the doggies all, and they went home happy and tired after a day of fun!

Christmas Lunch

This year we had a special Christmas lunch for the doggies made by A Proper Dogs Dinner. The product is made from and all fresh chicken and vegetables. They were all promptly gobbled down within seconds and each dog had a grin afterwards!
